🎉 Don’t panic, we’re organic! We’ve got our organic certification! 🎉

We couldn’t be happier to announce that we’ve officially been certified organic, which means that every single plant you order from Plantables to grow in your garden is 100% organic.

That means that everything we grow and ship directly to your door is 100% organic. We grow them from certified organic seeds, we grow them in organic soil and we definitely don’t use synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides or chemicals. Not ever.

Why are we so happy to be organic?

Well, the largest study of its kind recently discovered that organic foods have lots and lots of advantages over their non-organic alternatives, from more antioxidants (AKA the good stuff) and fewer pesticide residues (AKA the bad stuff).

We also love the fact that organic growing helps to preserve and protect the environment by causing as little disturbance as possible.

But if we’re organic, how do we keep the pests off of your plants?

Ah, we’re glad you asked this question, because it’s a little Plantables secret that we hardly ever get to talk about: super-bugs.

Yep, that’s right. As well as our staff of plant-loving green-thumbs, we also have teams of super-bugs that work for us to keep the nasty pests away from your healthy plants.

Don’t believe us? Check out this video.

These Swirsky mites are the unsung heroes of our greenhouse.

Whenever we release tens of thousands of these superbugs in our greenhouse, they get to work hunting down all of the bad bugs that want to snack on your plants and, well, eating them instead.

And because they have voracious appetites, they’re crazy effective at making sure that we don’t have to spray your plants with anything at all.

Do you want to know more about how we grow awesome, happy and healthy plants and ship them to your door?

Check out this post where we give you a little peek behind the curtains of our organic greenhouse! (That’s the last time we say the word organic, promise. We’re just over the moon about it.)
